This special kit was created with embroidery artist Vika Pro. It's our second interactive Dapper Notes notebook cover, and this kit comes with everything you need for hours of soothing embroidery. Makes a great gift for yourself, or your favorite creative person.
Inside the pouch you'll find nine colors of matching DMC embroidery floss, a pack of milliners needles specially made for embroidery, and everything else you'll need to DIY your notebook cover. Vika created a step-by-step insructional video, so you can feel comfortable getting started regardless of your embroidery experience.
The notebook cover is made using a very thin fabric to make for easy stitching, and includes two embroidery projects with a unique design on each side. Inside the notebook you'll find a fantastic endsheet made in Japan from 100% manila hemp. To form its distinctive lace pattern, the long, heavy fibers are separated by water falling on the newly-formed sheets to create holes within the paper. The pages inside are blank on the left and dot grid on the right, perfect for planning your next embroidery pattern.
"Pocket mountain stitch" is a play on "back stitch", which is an embroidery term for a specific stitching style. We hope this kit inspires you to create many wonderful things.
Fray level: Normal
Most Dapper Notes covers are made using fabric, which naturally frays with use. Each material behaves differently, and this meter will help you gauge how much fraying to expect from your notebook. Read more about fabric covers
