Edition #52 Notes

Designed with local artist Nina Tsur, who's also the very first collaborator to join me in the studio for some of its production. Nina is an artist who creates bright, silly, and fun illustrations in a style that is super dynamic but also very welcoming.

The design this time highlights the playful and bright nature of Nina's work, but is also very special to me because it's such a stark reminder of why I fell in love with stationery. The tools we have are only great when we use them and put ourselves inside, and for most of us our youth was a time where we had a lot of that creative play and discovered connection to things that made us feel great.

This edition aims to capture that lifelong magic and I can't wait for you to see it in person along with the matching packaging, a coordinating bookmark, and note card to match.

The cover design has a throwback to an old playlist that Nina made. More specifically "Playlist 2, Track 4". I got curious about what the playlist and track actually were, which Nina shared with me and I now get to share with you too. You can listen to the whole thing on Spotify. Nina also designed companion stickers, available on her shop.

Fray level: Normal

Most Dapper Notes covers are made using fabric, which naturally frays with use. Each material behaves differently, and this meter will help you gauge how much fraying to expect from your notebook. Read more about fabric covers

Every notebook order comes with a ruler for measuring very important things, in colors that match the notebook design. On its reverse, Nina doodled some classics and cute things so you can almost feel like you're dosing off in math class again.

A special box

Second time's a charm, and once again it coordinates with the notebook design, and carries the cover illustration in pink tones in the inside. The box is still in the classic Dapper Notes, this time with offset printing on a 14pt stock, and with colors and illustrations to match the notebook inside.
