The cover for Start Today is a fabric designed by artist and activist Lisa Congdon. Her work has an inviting bright palette, and when I saw this fabric pattern I knew I had to turn it into a Bookhead Club edition.
I admire Lisa's designs not only for her visual style, but more so for the ideas carried throughout her work. She makes it her mission to uplift both socially and emotionally, and designs around phrases like "make your own path," and "use your creative power for good".
To that end, Start Today invites you to carry on the message, open a blank (or lined) page, and make today the day where you start something new.
This edition contains: An abstract pattern on the outside, bright blue inside, with a pink chiffon endsheet, 48 pages on 70lb smooth white, and a light umber thread finish. The fabric for Start Today is thinner than most Dapper Notes, so expect more fray than usual. Limited edition of 350 (314 blank, 36 lined).
Most Dapper Notes covers are made using fabric, which naturally frays with use.
Each material behaves differently, and this meter will help you guage how much fraying to expect from your notebook.
